Edinburgh Weekend

Friday 19th October – Sunday 21st October 2012, 2 nights – 3 days

Open Top BusScotland’s capital is one of the most splendid in Europe. The Great Castle overlooks the sweeping gardens and famous shops on Prince’s Street, providing the most dramatic backcloth to a City, which rivals many of her counterparts in culture and history.

Edinburgh is divided into two distinctive parts. The new town is spacious and bustling with international commerce. The old town is built into volcanic rock, high above the Royal Mile. At one end is the Castle and at the other, The Royal Palace of Holyrood. Between these two landmarks, all of her ancient history can be found amongst the cobbled streets and wynds.

Your hotel – The County Hotel is situated in the heart of Dalkeith, just six miles from the centre of Edinburgh with 32 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, all are equipped with work desk areas and FREE broadband internet access. 24” flat screen TV’s with DVD player in most rooms. Complimentary hot beverages are available within each room plus hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The County Restaurant provides freshly prepared food in a lovely bright room overlooking the historical St Nicholas Buccleuch Parish Church, which dates back to the 12th Century. Whether popping in for a snack, taking an “Early Supper”, sampling the Spanish Tapas or enjoying the creativity of our A-La-carte menu, there is something for everyone
